But don’t worry we’ve rounded up some of the most anticipated anime of the summer to help you figure out where to start.

KAIJU NO.8 SEASON 2

The first season of Kaiju No 8 was a huge success. After being one of the biggest anime of 2024, our favorite Kaiju-turned-hero, Kafka Hibino makes his return this July, and things are looking to get even more intense. The story follows Kafka Hibino, a 32-year old who longed to be part of the Anti-Kaiju Defense Force to fulfill a promise to his good friend, Misa Ashiro. But fate takes a wild turn, when Kafka ingests a parasitic creature, and gains powers of a kaiju. Now living a double life, Kafka must prove to the organization that he's not a threat, but an asset against these threatening colossal monsters.

When season 2 arrives in July, it’ll be interesting to see how Kafka alongside his team will evolve as a unit. Season 1 left us with a cliffhanger, introducing us to the sinister new foe, Kaiju No.9. plotting his next move to eliminate the human race.

DAN DA DAN SEASON 2

The first season of Dan Da Dan was a massive hit that took the anime community by storm. Its bizarre storytelling, off-the-wall humor with lovable characters, (plus a banger of an opening theme) kept fans locked in, anticipating its next season.

If for some reason you’ve been living under a rock: The story follows high schooler Momo, who comes from a family of spirit mediums meets her classmate Okarun, a geek who’s obsessed with aliens but doesn’t believe in ghosts. Now here’s a twist here: Momo doesn’t believe in aliens. When the two challenge each other’s belief, they set out to prove each other wrong, only to discover that both aliens and ghosts are very real. What follows is chaotic, hilarious supernatural shenanigans, heartfelt moments, and crazy plot twists.

The world of Dan Da Dan is nothing but wild, fun and unusual chaos that we can't get enough of. Season 2 can’t come soon enough.

Da Da Dan is set to return July 3rd, 2025 on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
