Anime Expo came in hot this year dropping announcements that completely reshaped what 2026 is gonna look like. Forget niche reveals and whisper networks; this was the kind of drop where fans stopped scrolling. Beastars Final Season Part 2 locked in, Fist of the North Star is getting a full-bore reboot, and Hiromu Arakawa’s dark fantasy Yomi no Tsugai (aka Daemons of the Shadow Realm) just got the greenlight at Studio Bones. If you’re all about character drama, retro rage, or supernatural sibling sagas you’re staring at one hell of a lineup.
Looks like we’ll be heading back to Night City once again, as Cyberpunk Edgerunners announced a standalone sequel coming soon in 2026. Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 will be another 10-episode series with a plot that’s completely separate from Season 1.
