On August 26th, 2025, Kai Cenat released the official trailer for his third Mafiathon on YouTube. Packaged as a cinematic movie, Cenat returns with large-scale production, sticking to the Mafioso theme. It begins with Cenat surrounded by friends as they discuss their latest achievements, such as launching Streamer University, a program where Cenat himself acted as Dean and handpicked up-and-coming streamers to live out a college-like experience themed around streaming education.
The trailer featured familiar faces like Ray, Rakai, and Tylil. But Cenat had a few surprises up his sleeve, including an appearance by actor Michael B. Jordan. The Sinners star sits down with Cenat to discuss the next Mafiathon and emphasizes how it’s going to be the final entry in the “trilogy.”
A subathon is a marathon live-streamed event where a timer is extended for every subscription, resubscription, gifted subscription, or donation a streamer receives. Typically, it can run for a whole month of nonstop streaming. Viewers might see gaming, challenges, chatting, IRL streams and yes, even sleeping.
With every new subathon, there’s a higher goal to reach, and Kai Cenat is not afraid to challenge himself. For Mafiathon 3, he aims to hit 1 million subscribers by the end of the last stream. If he succeeds, he will set a new all-time record on Twitch, breaking his own 2024 record of 700,000 subscribers.
Keep in mind: these are paid subscribers, not just followers, which makes the challenge even steeper. To raise the stakes, if he hits 1 million, Cenat has vowed to cut his hair live on stream.
